Dozen Photo Challenge

Part 1

This photo of fire in the oven representing monochromatic colors is my most successful image. The image has a front perspective clearly showing 4 tones of orange. Also the frame of the oven allows multiple layers of dimension to be shown which makes the picture intriguing to the eye. The overall most challenging aspect of this assignment was capturing pictures with different lighting. There were several pictures that I enjoyed, but they all had the same type of lighting. In the future, to create stronger images I would think of more interesting locations to photograph. With more interesting models, the pictures would be more effective.

Part 2: Comment on Erin Lay's photo

Hi! This image is amazing! I am particularly drawn to this image because at first, my brain did not comprehend that it is real. The negative space element of the birds surroundings definitely highlights the uniqueness of the bird. The focus and contrast of the photograph is spot on! If I would change anything, it would be to focus a bit more of the bird. Then the viewer could identify the subject of the photo a bit faster.

Hey! I really like your image! I think this was really successful in being monochromatic. It is cool how the oven itself is not red but the fire glow makes it red. I think the only thing that could make this better would be to hold your camera in closer to the fire, or maybe even just crop out the non red parts!
